Sustitución de una caja de cambios de tornillo sin fin industrial: Qué conservar y qué reevaluar

Una caja de cambios de reducción de sin fin puede funcionar durante unas horas de demostración y luego fallar tras unas horas de funcionamiento cargado. La carcasa está calefactada, the viscosity of the lubricant is altered and the motor is restarted repeatedly, which exposes demands that are not uncovered by the no-load test. Understanding this full cycle of operation will mean reliable selection for equipment engineers and maintenance buyers.
This guide provides practical answers to the above questions. It starts with Mingye's RV product information to explain the impact of four factors: Relación de reducción, Contacto deslizante, Lubricación, Instalación, on whether the compact worm drive is suitable for the actual workload of the machine.

Get to know the Worm Set for Compactness
A mating wheel is moved by a worm under a heavy sliding engagement and thus power is conveyed between perpendicular offset shafts. The speed reduction can be quite high and the housing can be very compact and is suitable where appropriate, where an inline drive would be too long for the machine.
There are also some losses due to friction in that sliding contact. One percentage cannot be used for every worm gearbox, it is determined by many factors such as geometry, Ratio, carga, lubricant and temperature. So it's important to consider quiet running and footprint in addition to heat generation and hours of operation.
Mingye Motor de engranaje sin fin de la serie RV is introduced as a compact right angle product which can be installed flexibly. Check if the quotation is for the motor or just the reducer and its connecting parts. Identical looking housings may indicate different drive packages, ratings and mounting options.
Don't mix a Cold Start with Warm Running
The load on the machine must be overcome and its moving parts accelerated when starting. Even though the gearbox has to take a steady running load, it may not be appropriate for frequent loaded starts. We also need to review the starting efficiency using worm drive: it may not be as efficient as running.
Explain the real restarting of the machine. The case of a conveyor recovering after accumulation of material is different than a machine that is always empty. Take account of the load, Tiempo de aceleración, starts per hour and any reversing or jam events.
The other variable in the cold conditions is lubricant resistance which varies with temperature. Mingye's RV documentation highlights in particular the low-temperature motor suitability and the preparation of the lubricants. Get the unit's start-up directions for the unit you selected, don't assume the normal warm running procedure after an overnight shut down.

Select the Ratio (without changing the Operating Point)
The reduction ratio can be used to relate the input speed to the output speed, and is not itself a usable output torque. An approximation for the operation of a motor is: Output Torque = Input Torque x Ratio x Efficiency. The gearbox rating limit is not included.
Por ejemplo, if the input is assumed as 10 Nm, and the ratio is assumed as 30:1, and efficiency is assumed as 70%, then the output will be approximately 210 Nm. These values are for illustrative purposes only and are not a rating of an RV product. The evaluation of starting losses, repeated peaks and thermal duty is still needed.
If the speed of a process is required to be changed, first check all the drive before ordering a replacement ratio. Mingye's NMRV gearbox ratio change guide is written for the reason that if you have the existing motor, you need to validate the changed torque/speed/interface/duty. A higher speed output does not necessarily maintain the same amount of torque that is usable in the previous speed output stage.
Incorporate the concepts of “Balance Over Time” when addressing Heat.
Gear contact, Rodamientos, seals and lubricant movement produce heat. It should go out of the house or area around the house. A unit which is in open air may act differently when installed under a close fitting cover or next to a hot process.
Write down the ambient temperature, carga, operation time and the housing measurement location. Make comparisons of observations that can be repeated under similar circumstances, using appropriate tools to make the comparisons. The quality of the surface finish has an impact on infrared readings and a casing measurement is not necessarily the internal oil temperature.

In Mingye's right-angle gear motor heating explanation, duty and its four factors such as lubrication, Montaje, load are pointed out as relevant checks. As the temperature rises, the temperature limits provided by the manufacturer for the particular application must be compared with the expected stabilization behaviour. NEVER diagnose a gearbox by touching the casing or by using any of a universal temperature guidelines.
| Operating Stage | Load Condition | Record Together |
| First start | Empty or loaded | Ambient temperature and start duration |
| Normal production | Representative working load | Velocidad, Actualidad, and elapsed time |
| Warm restart | Same documented load | Start duration and housing temperature |
| Extended operation | Stable process conditions | Temperature trend and measurement location |
Specify Lubrication, With the Installed Orientation
The type of lubricant used must be appropriate for the worm set, Focas, operating speed and temperature range. Additive compatibility also is a factor where a bronze wheel is used. If the gearbox sounds noisy, this can lead to the use of a thicker oil, which will mean that there is more resistance, but does not solve the problem.
The amount of oil is also configuration dependent. If there is not enough, then contacts are not supplied, and if there is too much, it can lead to increased pressure issues and churning. Check the grade and amount of fill and maintenance requirements for a specific model for a specific mounting location.
If the gearbox is turned during installation, a recheck of lubrication and service or vent arrangements as specified in the design should be made. Never install a breather on a sealed unit without the manufacturer's permission. De forma similar, don't use another reducer family's oil change schedule just because the two reducers are the same housing size.

Access the Machine Around the Gearbox.
The load to the drive can be increased by a slipping belt, overtight chain, misaligned coupling or binding conveyor. If considering putting in a larger motor, first determine if there has been a change in the machine's resistance. Hands-on checks must be carried out whilst the equipment is isolated as part of the site's maintenance procedure.
Consider the output shaft too, in terms of how the forces get in there. If the torque transmitted is the same, but a sprocket is further from its support, then the bearing moment is increased. Make sure to supply the supplier with pulley/sprocket dimensions, positions and loading information.

Secure load holding should not be assumed in a worm gearing. Design and operating conditions influence the back-driving resistance. If gravity or stored energy would cause the mechanism to move, describe the brake or restraint required to be included in the complete machine design as a requirement of the mechanism.
Use Recorded Duty to make the Purchasing Decision.
If to replace, provide the nameplate, interface dimensions, the direction the interface is mounted, and the situation leading up to the problem. If it is a new machine, supply the anticipated start, run and stop cycle. Check the RV configuration against the conditions with Mingye and determine documents required for installation and service.
If continuous operation leads to an adverse thermal or energy balance, make comparisons with alternative forms of transmission at the same output requirement. The comparison must take into account any necessary changes in the fitment and cost of operation, instead of making blanket statements about whether a worm drive is suitable or not.
The size reduction provided by a worm reduction gearbox is best suited where a reduction is in a definite duty, and the reduction is compact. Cold starting, warm operation and maintenance access are equally important as ratio and motor power.
Preguntas frecuentes
Q1. Is it normal for a worm reduction gearbox to become warm?
There will be some mechanical losses that generate heat. Compare measured behavior with the selected unit operating limits and actual duty.
P2. Is a higher ratio necessarily more torque that can be used?
No. The power output is limited by the input power, Eficiencia, strength of the gearbox and thermal capacity. Check the suggested setup for the desired speed.
P3. Is there any particular kind of industrial gear oil that can be used?
No. Apply an approved lubricant which is compatible with the gearing, seals and operating conditions. Verify the amount of fill-in for the installed orientation.
P4. Can a worm gearing be used in place of a holding brake?
The type of gear does not automatically imply a holding guarantee. Some applications require a method for holding the product in restraint, and this must be an appropriate and approved holding solution.
P5. If the overheating problem is to be addressed with a larger motor, will it?
Sin embargo, without first determining the cause. Before changing the power or configuration of the drive, check loading, Instalación, lubrication and thermal duty.
